The incoming executives of the Student Union Government at the Rivers State University of science and technology are to be sworn in tomorrow.

This was made known by the Dean of students’ Affairs in a media chat held earlier today. The inauguration which will mark the birth of a new Student Union Government will place power in the hands of those who emerged winners after the recent free and fair election conducted by the Faith Nnaa led Administration and the Dean of students Affairs will hold tomorrow at the VC Rm 2 (10am).

During the media chat, the Dean of students Affairs in the person of Dr. Isaac Zeb-Opibi disclosed that the incoming Government will be fully armed with the revival of the Student Representative council (SRC) and the Student Judicial council (SJC) in other to avoid embezzlement of funds.
The innovative Dean In his speech further stated that act of the suspended SUG boss was a result of incomplete government. He therefore urged the student community to come and witness the great occasion which he titled ‘resurrection of the student union government in RSUST’

Meanwhile the Incoming SUG Boss in the person of Cmr Daniel Alalibo Daminabo popularly known as DAD has affirmed that his government will be a quintessential of Student Unionism in Nigerian Universities. He further stated that in his administration, politics will not conflict administration. In his speech ‘I will serve my executives and I will follow lay down principles’

While speaking the Student Union president in the person of Cmr. Faith Nnaa, thanked the student community, the dean of student Affairs and the vice chancellor in the person of prof. Blessing, Didia for supporting the union in other to achieve what they did and therefore  a remarkable administration. 

I believe Daminabo can deliver, these were the words of some notables,  Ndimile, Prince among others who also contested during the just concluded SUG election.
