Why you should not share your Debit card during online payments

The sharing of Debit cards with fellow students and or with cybercafe operators poses a great risk to all such who engage in such activities. These people may hack into your account without your notice and you know what that means. We should not be skeptical of hackers since they get our money ripped off. It is advised you "do it yourself" as the process is not difficult. All the steps are explanatory on the e-campus website during payments and registrations.

Since i started This University i have always done all payments myself with nobody teaching me how to. All i did was to follow the instructions on the e-campus. 

 If we have noted closely we will all see we are been exploited by the ICTA agents who pretend to help us pay with their debit cards. They get themselves good cars and clothes but tell you they help you. Some have graduated 5years ago but would not leave campus because they want to exploit students. Imagine a fresher paying #95,000 instead of #65,000 or #70,000.(This will be a full post for another day where we will analyze the payments and how we are exploited)

  

This lead the VC to shut down online payments recently and directed that all payments should be made either at the bank or the ICT but this didn't work as the students preferred being exploited because they want their payments to be accelerated especially Hostel bookings.

 

 Students are hereby advised to own a debit card that will enable them carryout all payments transactions in the University portals.

The School ICT centre of the University is also now mandated to train and support students who wish to learn how to use debit cards to make payments on the Univerisity portal free of charge as to be scheduled by the centre. Students are therefore requested to make themselves available to learn.
