SUG sports week Kick's off with VC's Cup competition

As part of the activities for the Sports and SUG week, the VC's cup one of the major attractions for our sports men and women on campus was kicked off yesterday the  12th of May with an opening match between the faculties of law and sciences.



The VC who was represented by his special assistant Mr.Sydney Eyindah took the kick-off with energetic and youthful vigor shot which symbolized the opening of the competition,

In  an interview with Gistmeust after performing the needful, the VC represented by his SA commended the effort of the student union in organizing the event and encouraged the administration to improve as the show continues.

He stressed that students should always find time to ease their minds through activities like football as a healthy mind is a healthy body and that the school management is strongly in support of the SUG.

When asked for a fatherly advice, he advised every student of RSUST to always remember that academics is their basic objective while on campus and as such they should not involve themselves in any activity that will cause them  to graduate before  the end of their four year or five years programme or even spend extra years.

The opening match ended with the faculty of sciences coming our victorious with a 4:2 victory over their opponents. The price for the champions at the end of the competition is N50,000,                   2nd prize: 30,000
