ADVERTISEMENT FOR SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION FOR
2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION
All candidates who attended the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into the Rivers State University of Science and Technology for 2016/2017 Academic Session but could not meet the weighted average for admission into the programmes of their choice may now seek supplementary admission into other programmes in the University.
(1) Candidates must possess a minimum Score of 180 in the 2016 Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME).
(2) Candidates must possess the basic five (5) O’ level credit passes including
English Language & Mathematics in accordance with the University’s Entry
Requirements (Faculty/Departmental), before applying for the supplementary
admission.
(3) Candidates are expected to log onto the University Website www.ust.edu.ng
and make e-payments of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000.00) only by
generating a transaction id on the University Website for the fee and
proceed to any of the designated Banks to pay using the Pay Direct Bank
Branch option or using Interswitch Verve enabled cards.
The Faculties and programmes to which candidates may seek supplementary
admission are listed below:
(i) Agric & Applied Economics/Extension
(ii) Animal Science
(iii) Crop/Soil Science
(iv) Fisheries and Aquatic Environment
(v) Food Science and Technology
(vi) Forestry & Environment
(vii) Home Science and Management
(B) FACULTY OF ENGINEERING:
(i) Agric & Environmental Engineering
(C) FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES:
(i) Estate Management
(ii) Surveying and Geomatics
(iii) Urban and Regional Planning
(D) FACULTY OF SCIENCE:
(i) Applied & Environmental Biology
(ii) Chemistry
(iii) Mathematics
(iv) Physics
(E) FACULTY OF TECHNICAL AND SCIENCE EDUCATION:
(i) Business Education
(i) Educational Foundations (Adult & Community Education)
(ii) Science Education with options in:
(a) Agricultural Science
(b) Biology
(c) Chemistry
(d) Integrated Science
(e) Mathematics
(f) Physics
(iii) Technical Education with options in:
(a) Building
(b) Electrical/Electronics
(c) Mechanical/Metal Work
*** Note that there will be no supplementary admission into the following
Faculties and Programmes:
(a) Faculty of Engineering (all programmes)-except Agric & Environmental Engineering
(b) Faculty of Law
(c) Faculty of Management Sciences (all programmes)
(d) Faculty of Science:
(e) (i) Medical laboratory Science
(ii) Computer Science
Candidates are to note that the University will not entertain any case of change of
course after publication of Supplementary Admission.
Candidates are informed that online processing of the Supplementary Admission
Forms shall end on Monday 14 the November, 2016.
In addition, it is mandatory that all candidates seeking supplementary admission
upload their ‘O’ Level results on-line.
