Gbege as Female Hostel Compitition Finally ends

In continuation of today’s activities ( SUG Week Day 4), the final match of the female hostel football completion went down at Maracana pitch.

Our pretty hostel C and hostel P.G girls battled for the cup even under the rain. The game was entertaining and fun as girls from the various hostels came out in their numbers to cheer their hostel mates and the guys also came out in their numbers to cheer their girlfriends up. The match ended a 2:1 with hostel C as the victor, but, their victory was short-lived as controversy set in.

 The P.G girls insisted that the scorer of the winning goal was not a student but a mercenary hired by hostel C and this was confirmed when the girl in question couldn’t provide either her ID Card or her portal username & password, the matter was a hilarious one as hostel C also came up with allegations like three of the players in the P.G team were actually from other hostels.

Finally the scores were rejected and the cup was not given out but kept pending, with both teams going home empty handed. In the mist of all these pandemonium students still called for events and competitions like this to be organized from time to time for fun and also health.
