Prof Didia calls for Cordiality between NURSS & SUG

Acting Vice chancellor of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia has charged the leadership of National Union of Rivers State Students in RSUST to ensure a cordial relationship with the Students Union Government SUG, RSUST in order to achieve its set goals.

Prof. Didia stated this today when he received members of Executive Council of the body in his office. He advised the NURSS leadership to ensure they give preeminence to their academic work noting that the future of the state and country at large lies in the hands of the students as such, there is a need for them to study hard.
The university Don reiterated his quest to continually put in his best to make the university, the best in the country in line with the vision of the founding fathers as a grooming ground for future leaders.

On his part, Ag.President of NURSS, RSUST, Augustine Emmanuel eulogized the vice chancellor for his laudable achievement since his assumption of office while assuring him of the already established smooth relationship with the Sug.
Comr. Emmanuel also intimated the vice chancellor of the state of the union in RSUST , as well as peculiar challengies while soliciting the support of the university management to enable the administration succeed.

In his response, Prof. Didia promised to liased with the Dean of Students Affairs and the entire university management to look into the issues raced by NURSS since according to him, the university cannot function effectively without the existence of such group as NURSS.

It will be recalled that NURSS RSUST has prior to this time paid similar visit to other highly placed individuals and departments in the university as part of its move to rebrand and reposition the union for better.
