As part of the activities carried
out today being the 4th day of the SUG week. A basketball competition was held alongside with a rap battle organized by Mr. Uebari Anthony
and his team. The basketball match was between our basketball team the
Hurricanes and the Veterans (the visitors) and as we all expected, the Hurricanes
won!!!.
The rap battle was a dope one, with various rappers dropping rhymes
that you won’t believe they were RSUST students.

The rap battle gave room for the students to
display their talents in music. Among other dignitaries present was the
university’s P.R.O. in person of Mr. Jumbo.
Every student in attendance had
much to say about how much fun, pleasure and relaxation they got from the
event.
“Basketball meets hip hop” to me that’s pretty creative bringing sports and music together and it was the first of it’s kind.

The students urged the school
management, S.U.G and sports/social director that such an event should be
organized subsequently, reason being that it will help bring out the real
talents of the students in the area of music and sports.
