Sequel to Hon. Barr. Nyesom Wike's victory at the supreme court, the students of the Rivers state University of Science and Technology paid a courtesy visit to him as a medium to congratulate him on his victory at the apex court, the supreme court of Nigeria.
At government house the students were addressed by a permanent secretary to the state government who represented the governor. He stated that the governor was unavoidably absent but he appreciates the solidarity and congratulatory visit of the students from the seven institutions in the state.
The students were obviously not satisfied by just a well prepared speech, they wanted to see the governor or i will prefer to say his pocket showing his gratitude. It is rumored that a check was given to the SUG president of RSUST who is also the chairman of the council of SUG presidents in Rivers State. Although this is unconfirmed,it lead to pandemonium at the scene as shouts of "na check ooooo" were
echoed and reechoed after the SUG president had a little private chat
with the permanent secretary.
