Foundation Block Laying of RSUST College of Medical Sciences

As part of the activity to mark the 28^th convocation ceremony of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, was the laying of the Foundation Block of the College of Medical Science by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike.

Before the Foundation Block Ceremony, an interview session was conducted with the Vice Chancellor Prof. Blessing Chimieze Didia and also with the State Commissioner of Education Prof. Kaniye Ebeku. During the interview with the Vice Chancellor Prof. Blessing Didia, He pointed out that the major challenge the school has is funding and also called on the convocating students to be good ambassadors of the University. The Commissioner of Education described today as a great day and an annex to the University, as the Foundation Block is about to be laid by His Excellency Executive Governor of Rivers State Chief Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. The Commissioner also said that the building of the College of Medical Science will be a major achievement in the Governor’s administration.

This day indeed is a great day in the history of the University as the University witness the birth of the College of Medical Sciences which will help boost the ranking of the University among other Universities in the country, in the annually conducted NUC ranking.
