The inauguration which was held at the Vice chancellor conference room 2 earlier today marked the beginning of a digital Student Union Government (SUG) and also a complete arm of government. Witnessing the historic occasion were the Vice chancellor of the university in the person of prof B.C.D, The Dean of Students’ affairs in the person of Dr. Isaac Zeb Obipi, Associate Dean of students in the person of Mrs. Emilia Jaja, teh bursar in the person of Mr. Kennedy S. Abraham, the Registrar in the person Mrs. DC Odimabo, Public relation officer, Dean of science faculty in the person of prof. Pepple, Dr. Boisa who is the director of MEP, representatives of the national Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS), reps from the national Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) RSUST chapter, Faculty presidents and the media.
Meanwhile the former Acting president of the union in the person of Cmr. Nnaa Faith who was also the former vice president of the union before the suspension of Cmr. Wealth Gospel. 'I want to thank the Vice chancellor for making my administration a success and to my mentor e-DSA u are a good man' She also thanked the student community for turning out in mass to witness the historic event that been created by her administration with the DSA as a secret behind her successful administration.
Speaking at the digital event, the Vice chancellor of the university in the person of prof. Blessing Chimezie Didia (B.C.D), who stated that God has led the right people to help him rule his administration. In his statement. ' I never knew Isaac Zeb before now but i can tell you that the Student Union Government have changed. I have never interfered in any matter that has to do with the student Union Government because i know thay can handle it themselves.
However the president of the Student Union government in the person of Comr. daniel Alalibo Daminabo alia DAD has vowed that this administration will run an all inclusive government. And that his administration will offer the best students' welfare ever experienced inj the history of the Student unionism in the University.
