RSUST: NURSS Interim Excos Inaugurated

 An interim executive has been constituted for the National Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS), RSUST chapter has been inaugurated today by the students staff adviser, Barrister Osaih.
 

The new Care taker Committee is chaired by Augustine Emmanuel, a 400 level students in the faculty of Law while Tamunokoro Divine is to serve as the Secretary. Other members of the Committee include, Peterside Bright S.T, Public Relations Officer, Johnson Eugene Johnson, Vice president. Eze-chika Trust, Financial Secretary, while, Piagbara Nekabari and Echefuna Justice Justice are to serve as members.
 

Speaking shortly, after the inauguration which took place in he office of the staff adviser in the faculty of law building, the Mr Osaro Abbey said the process of the formation of the caretaker committee was open and transparent.
 

He maintained that the selection process done with the with proper consultation with heads of the different blocks that makes up the NURSS body. He therefore advised the newly inaugurated Executive to be selfless in their activities and reframe themselves with the circular politics nor affiliate themselves to any political party while promising to support the new NURSS leadership in the university.
 

On his part, the chairman of the care taker committee, Comr. Augustine Emmanuel commended the staff adviser while promising to put in his best mean while thanking the staff adviser and the heads of the Block for the opportunity to serve while promising. He promised to pursue the welfare of Rivers state students in the university.

Similarly, the Public relations officer, Comr.Peterside said, the new assignment was a call to duty geared towards rebranding the NURSS body in RSUST.

NURSS is the apex students body in Rivers State. It comprises of all students from the 27 local government rea of the state
