Students at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nkpolu Port Harcourt can now take a breath of relieve from academic hustle following the gradual conclusion of the first semester examination for the 2015/2016 academic session.
The first semester examination of the university began on February 29th 2016 and is expected to end this Friday, 11th February 2016.
Some of the students who spoke to our reporter under the condition of anonymity expressed gratitude to God for his guidance and protection all through the four months semester despite the huge socio-economic challenges that surrounded it. Others could not hold their joy as they expressed their optimism on the outcome of the first semester examination result. A first year student in the university who did not want name in print said, she was highly relieved from the academic activities which she has been through since her admission last year. In her own words; “Having finished my exams, and with this holiday in place, I hope to at least, eat and sleep well which I have not done for long a time since I saw my name in the admission list, she said”.
Meanwhile, some students were seen moving out of the halls of residence (Hostels) with their luggage signifying an end to what they described to have been a tedious first semester.
