NANS Finally Gets New President
The National Association of Nigerian Students. has appointed, as their new president, Ebonyi State University’s Chinonso Obasi on Tuesday, July 19.
The results were announced after police were able to restore peace following the violence that erupted at the NANS convention in Gombe.
Taiwo Bamigbade of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, was elected the new president of NANS senate.
Mr. Obasi and his team were received by Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State.
Mr. Obasi was born to the family of Ogbonnaya. Obasi on April 27, 1987, in Ugoni Okposi, Ohaozara LGA Ebonyi State.

According to reports by PremiumTimes, Obasi attended Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Staff Primary School (1993-1999); Federal Government College Okposi (1999-2005); and Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana (2005-2010) where he became the Director of Socials.
He was also special adviser to the SUG Caretaker Committee Chairman (2007) and SUG President (2009/2010).
He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering (Production).
