The N-Power programme – Why you have to re-register

So many persons have been waiting to see a peice of writing about this N-Power stuff. I came across a post someone made complaining bitterly about the N-Power project this morning. I decided to share my own experience and that of others with you.

It is no news that the N-Power programme is a programme initiated by the Federal Government. The programme which started earlier last month put people into tension as everyone wanted to be the first to register. My friends registered 2hours immediately the website was opened.

You that is reading this post i saw you in my dreams - at about 2am that day you were struggling with the website. In fact you almost cried. 

Two weeks after the website was opened, about 4.5 million persons have registered and that lead to the shutdown of the web server.

The first few days the programme started was characterized by a lot of problems and challenges because of the number of millions of Nigerians trying to register at a time.

During the registration process people were told to register before they can apply for the scheme.

During the formal registration, you will be asked to enter your details and also provide passport. You will get an email saying “your registration is successful with details such as the username used during the registration. (Find attached image below).”

After few days the website crashed. Few days after it was re-opened some people noticed that the website’s URL has changed. Changes were made to prevent the system from crashing.

Some few days after the changes were made to the Npower website, a client came with a friend that wants to register for the programme. He himself (the client) said he had already registered elsewhere. I asked him when? And he told me sometimes during the first few days.

Out of curiosity I decided to ascertain if he had truly registered and tried to apply for him and Voila! His registration was successful AGAIN despite the fact that he had registered before!

Only few persons have received acknowledgement letter from N-Power while some are still waiting for a confirmation message after registering.

Meanwhile some persons are complaining of inability to upload their passports.

Please if you have not receive acknowledgment letter please you are advised to re-register.
