Meet Cristiano Ronaldo’s pop singer sister Katia Aveiro (Photos)

He’s been ranked the wealthiest footballer in the world for two years running by Forbes and is the all-time top scorer for his club, country and in the UEFA European Championship.

But while Cristiano Ronaldo, 31, is arguably the greatest footballer in the world, his sister Katia Aveiro, 39, is rapidly becoming a star in her own right after amassing more than 90,000 followers on Instagram.

 
Katia launched her music career in 2005 under the stage name La Ronalda and boosted her profile by appearing on the Portuguese version of the reality show Survivor in 2014.

She travelled to Cannes last month to perform at events at the world famous film festival. And In 2015 she made a mid to represent her country at this year’s Eurovision song contest, tweeting: ‘Eurofans, I would like you to back me to represent Portugal — A dream.’ 

She is also a very popular blogger who spends a lot of time sharing tips online about how to control weight gain while remaining ‘curvy and happy’. The fitness fanatic has described going to the gym as ‘a spiritual moment’. ‘It’s when I’m taking care of my body and through that I take care of my soul,’ she said. ‘The concentration and sacrifice help purify.’

Recently she revealed to fans that she had been going through a tough time, but described herself as a ‘fighter’ and a ‘warrior’.
