What you need to know before applying for the 2016 RSUST screening Exercise

Please before reading take a breath of relief as the time we have all been waiting for is here at last, please a round of applause to you guys for waiting patiently until this time.

Few weeks back, minister for Education announced that the FGN has scrapped Post-Utme, this caused tensions as students were confused on the mode of admission that JAMB will use.

While some students were busy not reading/preparing for the Post-utme, schools were busy looking for an alternative method of testing those who chose them either as first choice or second choice before they are admitted by JAMB.

Last Week University of Lagos announced that it has started its Screening exercise and later University of Port Harcourt made a newspaper publication asking students to get ready for resumption and post utme.

Recently, RSUST through the registrar in the person of D.C. ODIMABO (MRS.) made it known to the public that it has started registration for the screening which will begin today Monday 13^th June, 2016.

After the publication by the registrar, students have been asking questions like “which screening again? Abi na another method of post-utme? Me I tire for Nigeria ooo”.

Sorry but there is nothing you can do about it, eh! Please just register and start preparing.

Here are things you should take note of during your course of registration for the screening.

• 1    Shine your eyes to the e-processing agents on campus

When it is time for Registration like this, the Electronic Processing Agents (EPA) see it as an opportunity to gullible students. Before your registration, ask them for their price list and compare it to what the school management published (see HERE).

This lead the VC to shut down online payments and directed that all payments should be made either at the bank or the ICT but this didn't work as the students preferred being exploited because they want their payments to be accelerated especially Hostel bookings.

You are therefore encouraged to do the processing yourself, Please go to the ICT and ask for the “Do it yourself help”

• 2 Never disclose your ATM Pin to the e-processing Agents

Disclosing your ATM PIN to these agents may cause you your money after the registration. If the agents request you give them your ATM card then be sure you type/input the password yourself.

To ensure maximum security, the school ITC is there to assist students during the registration exercise for FREE.
