UNICAL Expels 30 Students and 2 Professors

Information reaching us has it that about 30 undergraduate students of the University of Calabar and 2 Professors from the Institution has been expelled over cult related activities and academic indiscipline. This was made know yesterday by the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Zana Itiunbe Akpagu during a Pre-Convocation Media Briefing in Calabar.

The university Don said, the names of the suspended students and lecturers alike shall be sent to other tertiary institutions across the country to ensure that the culprits are well punished to serve as deterrent for others while maintaining that the university now has a zero tolerance for indiscipline and as such, has braced up for discipline in the university in order to secure the future of the students studying in the institution. This According to him was the only sure way to build and ensure a prosperous future for the tomorrow’s leaders of the Nigerian state.
